Dr. James Patterson, DDS is a general dental practitioner seeking a skilled and experienced part time or full time dental hygienist to join his team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental services. This position offers retirement (20% contribution), vacation, and paid Holidays. Applicants must have a degree in dental hygiene and a valid state license.
Key Objectives:
- Participate in continuing education courses to maintain licensure and improve skills.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to address any concerns or questions.
- Perform periodontal assessments and screenings for oral cancer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather patient information and health background.
- Take x-rays when necessary.
- Prepare the work area for procedures.
- Clean and polish patients’ teeth and gums.
- Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits.
- Update patient records.
- Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment.
- Restock treatment areas.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current state license and x-ray certification.
- Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
- Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
Pay:
Wage is negotiable based on experience and hours worked.

Full Time, Part Time
Clinical Hours:
Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm
Friday 8am-noon
